Peace of mind for your used EV

FAQs

Frequently asked questions

Everything you need to know about our used EV checks.

General

What is EV All Day?

EV All Day is the UK's vehicle check built for electric cars. Our flagship Used EV Check reports a used electric car's battery health, estimated real-world range today versus when new, and remaining battery warranty from just a UK registration.

What is included in the Used EV Check?

The Used EV Check is an instant report on a used electric car, generated from its UK registration:

  • Battery health, with a grade where a manufacturer battery test exists
  • Estimated real-world range today compared with when the car was new
  • Estimated battery degradation for the car's age and mileage
  • Remaining manufacturer battery warranty
  • Official WLTP range for comparison
  • Full MOT history and recorded mileage

Battery and range figures are estimates powered by ClearWatt data. See a sample report.

Can I check an electric van?

Yes. The Used EV Check covers fully electric vans as well as electric cars. Enter the van's registration and, if we hold battery and range data for it, you get the same battery health, range and MOT report. Eligibility is confirmed before payment, so you're never charged for a vehicle we can't check.

How quickly will I receive my report?

Reports are generated instantly after payment confirmation. You'll receive your digital report within seconds via email and can access it immediately through a unique URL. No waiting, no delays - your report is available right away.

How long can I access my report?

Your report is stored indefinitely with lifetime access. Save the unique URL provided after purchase to view your report anytime, anywhere. No account or login required - the URL is your permanent access key. We recommend bookmarking it or saving the email confirmation.

How much does it cost?

Reports are £9.99. The Used EV Check and EV Battery Check are £9.99 each. Each is a one-time fee providing instant report generation and lifetime access. There are no hidden charges, subscriptions, or recurring fees. Prices include UK VAT.

Is my payment secure?

Yes, absolutely. All payments are processed through Stripe, the industry standard for secure online payments. Stripe uses bank-level encryption and is PCI DSS Level 1 certified (the highest security standard). We never see or store your full card details - Stripe handles all payment information securely. Your transaction is protected with the same security used by major banks and companies worldwide.

Refunds & payments

Can I get a refund?

We offer refunds when we can't generate your report:

100% Refund if:

  • We cannot find your VIN or registration in our data sources
  • Your vehicle is unsupported (for example, it isn't a supported electric vehicle)
  • Our data sources are unavailable due to technical issues
  • You accidentally made a duplicate purchase

No Refund if:

  • Report generated successfully
  • You entered the wrong VIN or registration (user error)
  • You changed your mind after viewing the report
  • You misunderstood the product scope (for example, expecting outstanding finance or write-off data, which the Used EV Check does not include)

To request a refund, use our contact form within 30 days. Read our full refund policy for details.

VIN & technical

Can I use my registration number instead of VIN?

Yes! UK customers can use their registration number (number plate) - it's often the easiest option. Simply enter your registration when prompted, and we'll automatically look up your vehicle and generate your report.

Why use registration instead of VIN?

  • Easier to remember - visible on your number plates
  • No need to dig out your V5C logbook
  • Same comprehensive report
  • Same £9.99 price

How do I find my VIN number?

Your VIN (Vehicle Identification Number) is a unique 17-character code. You can find it in several locations:

  • V5C Registration Document (Logbook): Look in the VIN/Chassis Number box on the front page
  • Windscreen: Small metal plate visible through the windscreen at the bottom of the driver's side
  • Driver's Door Jamb: Open the door and check where the door latches
  • Under the Bonnet: On the bulkhead between engine and passenger compartment
  • Insurance Documents: Your insurance certificate lists the VIN

Format: VINs are exactly 17 characters (letters and numbers, excluding I, O, and Q to avoid confusion with 1 and 0). Example: WBA1234567890ABCD.

What if I entered the wrong VIN or registration?

If you accidentally enter the wrong VIN or registration and we successfully generate a report for that incorrect identifier, we cannot offer a refund. Our system provided the service correctly based on the information you submitted.

Prevention tips:

  • Double-check your registration or VIN before submitting
  • VINs are exactly 17 characters (never contain I, O, or Q)
  • UK registration numbers are 2-8 characters
  • Compare your entry with the V5C document character-by-character

If you realize the error before viewing the report, contact us immediately - we may be able to help.

Can I check multiple vehicles?

Yes! Each report is £9.99 per vehicle. There's no limit to how many vehicles you can check. If you're a dealer or checking multiple cars when shopping, simply purchase a report for each vehicle you want to check. Each report provides lifetime access via its own unique URL.
