Our Service Guarantee

At EV All Day, we offer refunds when we are unable to generate your report due to technical issues. By completing your purchase, you acknowledge that service history records may not be available for all vehicles, and that reports showing zero service records are not eligible for refunds.

Why zero records may occur: The vehicle may have been serviced only at independent garages, the owner performed DIY maintenance, or no digital service records exist for the vehicle. Even with zero main dealer service records, your report includes valuable MOT history, mileage records, and vehicle details.

Used EV Check refunds

The Used EV Check (£9.99) depends on battery and range data from ClearWatt. If ClearWatt has no battery/range record for your vehicle, no report is produced and you are automatically and fully refunded - you do not need to ask. Because we verify eligibility before payment, electric vans and non-electric vehicles are blocked at entry and are never charged.

No refund applies for the Used EV Check once a report has been produced, including where:

  • You changed your mind after viewing the report
  • You are dissatisfied with the estimated figures (battery health, degradation and range are estimates, which you acknowledge at checkout)
  • You entered the wrong registration or mileage and we generated a report from what you submitted

The numbered sections below (VIN not found, unsupported vehicle, etc.) describe the Service History Check. Vehicle History Check refunds follow Terms Section 5.5.

1. Full Refund Cases

You will receive a complete £9.99 refund in any of the following scenarios:

1.1 VIN Not Found

We cannot locate your VIN in manufacturer databases. This typically means:

  • VIN entry error (typo or incorrect character)
  • Vehicle imported from outside Europe
  • VIN not registered in manufacturer systems
  • VIN format invalid or does not exist

Result: No report generated → Full £9.99 refund issued

1.2 Unsupported Vehicle

Your vehicle is outside our service coverage:

  • Vehicle manufactured before 2012
  • Vehicle brand not in our 39 supported brands
  • Commercial vehicles (vans, trucks)
  • Motorcycles or specialist vehicles

Result: No report generated → Full £9.99 refund issued

1.3 Manufacturer Database Unavailable

We cannot access the manufacturer's service database due to:

  • Technical issues with manufacturer systems
  • Temporary system outages or maintenance
  • API connectivity problems
  • Data provider service interruption

Result: No report generated → Full £9.99 refund issued

1.4 Duplicate Purchase

You accidentally purchased the same report multiple times. We will refund the duplicate order(s) while you keep access to one report.

Result: Duplicate charges → Full refund for duplicates

Important Note

Reports that show zero manufacturer service records are not eligible for refunds. Your report still includes MOT history, mileage records, and vehicle details. The absence of main dealer service records is valuable information in itself.

2. No Refund Cases

We cannot offer refunds in the following situations:

2.1 Report Generated Successfully

If we successfully generate your report, no refund applies - even if the report shows zero service records. Your report still includes MOT history, mileage records, and vehicle details. The absence of main dealer service records is itself valuable information (e.g., when purchasing a used vehicle).

At checkout, you acknowledged that this check may return no service history from the main manufacturer.

2.2 User Error (Incorrect VIN/Registration)

If you enter the wrong VIN or registration and we successfully generate a report for that incorrect identifier, no refund is available. We provided the service correctly based on the information you submitted.

Prevention tip: Always double-check your VIN or registration before submitting. VINs are 17 characters and never contain the letters I, O, or Q.

2.3 Change of Mind After Viewing

Once you've accessed and viewed your report (with 1+ records), you cannot request a refund simply because you changed your mind. The digital service has been delivered and cannot be "returned."

2.4 Misunderstanding Service Scope

We clearly state we check manufacturer dealership records and MOT history for UK vehicles. If you expected:

  • Outstanding finance, write-off or stolen-marker data (these are part of our separate Vehicle History Check)
  • Independent garage records
  • Vehicle valuation

This does not qualify for a refund. Please read our service description carefully before purchasing.

2.5 Technical Issues on Your End

If you cannot access your report due to:

  • Email spam filters blocking our messages
  • Internet connectivity issues
  • Browser compatibility problems
  • Lost report URL

No refund is available. However, contact us and we'll happily resend your report link or help troubleshoot access issues.

3. How to Request a Refund

Step 1: Contact Us

Submit a refund request through our contact form with:

  • Subject: Refund Request
  • VIN or Registration: The identifier you purchased a report for
  • Email: The email address used for your order
  • Reason: Brief explanation (e.g., "zero records found")

Step 2: We Review Your Request

Our team will review your refund request within 24-48 hours (typically much faster). We will:

  • Verify your purchase in our system
  • Check the report status and contents
  • Determine eligibility based on this refund policy
  • Email you our decision with explanation

Step 3: Refund Processing

If approved:

  • Refunds are processed via Stripe to your original payment method
  • You'll receive a confirmation email from Stripe
  • Refunds appear on your card statement within 5-10 business days (bank-dependent)

Time Limit

Refund requests must be made within 30 days of purchase. After 30 days, we cannot guarantee refund availability (though we'll consider requests on a case-by-case basis).
